NCN - It's Game Time! (Extended Edition)
March 18, 2017
Originally webcast on Plundercast and DFM out of Amsterdam on February 5th, 2017--A much-extended version of a show we did with UNIVAC and Big City Orchestra from years ago featuring music made from video games, collages mixes and songs about video games. - 3 hour show.

NCN - Songs from the Flood Zone
March 04, 2017
Songs inspired by rain and floods and our recent geographically close brush with the rising water in San Jose, recently. A simultaneous sequel to our program 'The Rain Show' and also the latest installment in our 'Elements' series (which included 'The Earth Sleeps Alone and 'Share the Air'). We take a look at the effects of climate change and the universal rising of sea levels in the future and many many songs about rain and flooding in this compilation of water music. Sprinkled throughout the program are excerpts from a high quality copy the 'Best' of Don Joyce's 'The Rain Show' on Over the Edge, which came out a couple hours after coincidentally webcast our 'The Rain Show' in 2014. - 3 hours

NCN - The Devo Remix Remix Project
February 15, 2017
Webcast originally on February 12th, 2017--This is a collection of remixes of Devo songs, mostly culled from Soundcloud artists and then selected for the best ones. A trilogy-completing 'sister show' to NCN's 'The Devo Show' as well as our 'The No Devo Devo Show', this installment concentrates exclusively on remixes (though technically a cover or two might have slipped through). Enjoy this somewhat loopy all-remix version of the spudboys' work (with several versions of 'What We Do' as a running leitmotif throughout). Put together at the last minute, a day before showtime, as inspired by Stephen McQuillen, during a period that we tried to pry our brains away from Trump news in the first month of his presidency. This program seemed appropriately enough to be an obliquely relevant distraction for the time being. Playlist is in internal id3 tag of the mp3. - Over 2 hour show.

NCN - Information Is Not Knowledge
February 07, 2017
Weeee're Baaack! Thanks to YOU! Webcast originally on January 1st, 2017--We kick off the start of 2017 with a brand new offering about fake news, information overload, epistemological conundrums, choice nuggets of audio plunderphonia, new music, a look ahead at what might happen in 2017, and generally the BEST of the year (so far). Just kidding. We also have Rev. Twobeans' new Star Wars mix and some new (and older, rare) Negativland/OTE (Over the Edge) clips. Thanks to all who helped us get a new computer with which to create our mixes and continue our Latent Einstein Outreach Ministry. The title refers to quotes from Einstein (pictured) and Frank Zappa: two 20th Century geniuses we admire. - 3 hour mix.

January 28, 2017

Music for the rest of us on this fateful day. Note--This program has a few songs with possibly NSFW lyrics, listener discretion advised. This is also a different edit than the broadcast version.

NCN - It's Almost Over: The 2016 Election Remix Special
November 07, 2016
Webcast on November 6th, 2016 right before Election Day eve. This is is a more fully and further developed mix we did a couple weeks before, in the virtual Second Life environment, and on DFM out of Amsterdam and on our stream. This is a round-up collection of (mostly humorous) remixes, mashups, collages, 'Trumpstep' (one could say) interpretations (heavy on the much more sample-able Trump in the treatment here), also protest songs, but probably mostly homemade audio mixes, and works, that creatively came out of the 2016 Presidential Election season from the public at large all under one roof for the first time. This is what we consider to be the 'best' efforts of the political season offered here for the purpose of criticism, commentary, posterity, satire and the hope of capturing the zeitgeist of this politically-charged time in U.S. history. - 2hrs. 50 min.

NCN and Puzzling Evidence - Gods and Monsters
October 18, 2016
From a show done for 'Crack of Dawn' on October 7th, 2016 at KPFA in Berkeley with Puzzling Evidence (Doug Wellman) and Dr. Hal (Harry S. Robins) in the studio. With remixes of humorous religious pieces as well as remixed excerpts from the 1963 LP "Famous Monsters Speak!" this mix of mixes includes long, dense spooky Halloween-worthy sequences, take-offs on cults, "God(s)" and religious dogma, as well as political material including at least a couple of post-added Donald Trump remixes (the Trump-centric 'PussyGate' scandal erupted the day after the program was broadcast). This program has been re-worked since the original broadcast version and is a 'Narco Mix' of the program. With work by Unforgiven, Placeboing, Mad Genius, Contemporary Casuals, Matt McCorkle, and Solar Wimp amongst others. - A nearly 5 hour show in all.

NCN - Growing Up
August 26, 2016
The Definitive version of this mix, originally webcast on Plundercast and DFM on August 21st, 2016. An audio time-capsule of sorts made up of current voices, and electronically spoken text, from around the web on the subject of adulthood. It is comprised of many clips, samples, music and songs all about coming of age and growing up. With a leitmotif of Neil Young's 'Heart of Gold' and work by NCN, OneTwoOneTwo, Demarest, King Missile, Don Joyce, The Former Yugoslavia, The Pussycat Dolls, Ronald Redball, Alexander T. Newport, Essays by Phineas Narco, Joseph Campbell, much from David Richo (author of the excellent 'How to Be an Adult in Relationships') and many, many more. When this was originally webcast it was about 80% done we realized afterwards. It is now fixed, and complete. This program is a little bit better than the Mixcloud version as some audio mixing mistakes have been fixed. - A 3 hour program.

NCN - Fapcore 2016
April 04, 2016
Note--Subject matter, and some language may be NSFW. Listener Discretion Advised. NCN invites you to get a grip, as you rock out with your... headphones ON while listening to this sonically risque' radio ride. Yes, a new show all about... THAT. Kind of a taboo subject, but well, hell when has that ever stopped us? A companion piece to NCN - Bootycore 2014, this program was originally webcast on March 20th, 2016--to about a dozen people--and hosted by (the late) James Mason, and features a wide variety of musical remixes and comedic treatments about humanity's favorite solitary pastime. An attempt to normalize an increasingly relevant cultural topic, in a hopefully tasteful and entertaining manner, by providing a cultural overview of its various treatments in music and comedy. A 3-hour semi-psychedelic 'syntopical' mix.
