AWIA
Animals Within Animals is a group with open membership, loosely centered around founders stAllio! and the increasingly reclusive Lander Kitt, but with collaborators stretching throughout the Internet. Learn "the truth" about parasites, mating habits, the spiritual power of turkey leftovers, and all other things metahuman. Prepare for an audio infestation.
The Button
Press The Button is an experimental radio show of found sound collage which interacts with unscreened phone callers in Cleveland, OH on WRUW, 91.1 FM. The program is very influenced by both the Dada and Surrealist art movements. Each week introduces a completely different theme, and often, a completely different approach to performing the show. Press The Button frequently has found sound celebrity guests from around the globe, most notably Pauline Oliveros, the Evolution Control Committee, Negativland's David Wills (only on phone), and various students from Oberlin College'smusic department. Though each week the show is only broadcast in Cleveland, it is also netcasted worldwide and archived in various file formats for trade..The Button (as opposed to Press The Button) is what we call ourselves when we make studio albums based on our work with the radio show. we've been compared to (and are very influenced by) the Emergency Broadcast Network, the Tape-beatles, and Negativland.
Church of Subgenius Hour of Slack
Praise "Bob"! The Hour of Slack (official radio ministry of the Church of the Subgenius) is the compendium of the best and newest from all SubGenius radio & stage shows, bands, ranters, Media Barrage collage artists, plus the weirdest of the indie audio underground. Hosted by Rev. Ivan Stang, and available in modem friendly Realaudio, high resolution MP3 and FM radio in over a dozen cities across the United States, Canada and Austrailia!
Cranial Fishers
It's hard to describe what the Cranial Fishers is...are...do. At any given moment, you're as likely to hear totally abstract soundscapes as you are to hear rhythmically driven industrial sounds...or perhaps a bit of jazz...a piece of dialogue borrowed from a movie...a cheesy sounding keyboard... or a lush orchestration. Sprinkled with a sense of the absurd. And maybe touch of irony. Sometimes I question even calling it music...it's more an organization of collected sounds...or a collection of organized sounds...or a disorganized collection of sounds. Whatever it is, sit back, listen, and let the sound speak for itself.
